High End Detailing
The high end vehicle detailing industry is very different to a standard motor trade business and a world away from “car valet” liability only insurance policies. We have come across numerous businesses where they are working on cars up to and in some cases exceeding £250,000 with many standard policies restricting cover to a fraction of that.
Due to the time it takes to fully decontaminate, refine and protect a car to the standard these businesses work to, it is also often a requirement to keep the vehicle at their business premises for a number of days. In many cases a number of these valuable vehicles will need to be covered at the same time as they will be responsible should anything happen to them.
They also need to carry out work on the vehicles such as removing wheels or raising the vehicle on a lifting table adding potential risk for an incident to occur.
What is Detailing Insurance?
Like you, we have an eye for detail although ours is for insurance, ensuring you are covered adequately for your individual business and that you are aware of and able to comply with all of the intricate policy wordings, endorsements and conditions that can easily catch a business out. Most policies for example have a minimum standard of security at your business premises as well as where you keep car keys. Some will have certain alarm requirements. Most require you to have maintained fire extinguishers on site and your electrical installation to be inspected periodically.
We will work with you and our partner insurers to make sure you are both aware of exactly what is required of you and that in the event of a claim you will be covered.
What we offer
First and foremost – All businesses will receive an initial consultation at your business premises free of charge. Your business is unique and the protection it requires needs to be tailored specifically. We feel the best way to do this is to visit your premises and spend time with you to understand those requirements. Should you proceed we then carry out quarterly phone calls to check in and make sure that your insurance policy changes as your business does, not just at renewal time.

- Single vehicle limits of up to £250,000 which can potentially be increased if needed
- Public liability, defective workmanship, products liability, employers liability
- Business interruption covers specific to your needs to help you recover should the worst happen
- In addition to this we can also arrange add on covers such as courtesy car cover & engineering inspection
